

Cello Competition
Rules & Regulations
Presented by Glasser NY & Larsen Strings in conjunction with Luther Strings
Eligibility

Competition is open to amateur and students cellists of all ages. Cellists who are making a living by performing or teaching and who are not currently attending school or college are ineligible to participate.

All competitors must be able to attend and perform live at the Summit on February 25th in Denver
-
Competition will consist of two (2) rounds. The first round will be by video submission sent to coloradocellosummit@gmail.com. Three finalists will advance to the second round and will perform live at the Summit on February 25th at the King Center, Metro State University in Denver.

First round submissions must be received by midnight (MST) on February 18th, 2023

All finalists must register and attend the day-long Cello Summit on February 25

There will be three prize categories. They include:

Best Overall Performance - Complete set of "Il Cannone" Larsen Strings

Best Bach Suite Movement Performance - Free Bow Rehair by Evan Orman at Denver Violins

Audience Choice Award - Gift card to Luther Strings violin shop

Movement of competitor's choice of J.S. Bach Cello Suites 1-6. Please choose a movement that doesn't exceed 5 minutes in length.
